All about Arik and his training

Arik is a wondeful, natural horseman.  He loves horses and loves to help the horse and owner make a change.   Arik likes the challenge of problem horses, who don’t load into trailers, or pick up their feet.   He uses round penning methods for trust and respect, and a little lunging along with that.   He understands how herd instinct and looking for a leader helps this.   Arik believes to get to a horses mind you must work through his feet.  Horses learn through a conditioned response, in which they learn from the release not the pressure, A JOHN LYONS method that Arik learned even before he attended the certification program.  Arik always applies the JOHN LYONS idea of the 3 step rule.   The training must be safe for the trainer, must be safe for the horse, and the horse must be calmer after the lesson then it was before.     Safety is a big issue, Arik believes we can all be safe and still train a horse to do amazing things.    And he gives every horse the opportunity to be trained with this method.    Agressive, scared, timid, and lazy horses of all kinds benefit from this rule of training.

If you have a horse that likes to run you over while you are leading, saddling, trying to mount on, or one that just won’t stand still, or a horse that spooks at everything, and can get out of control.  If you want to learn to handle and train your horse, Arik can help you.  For very reasonable rates, he can come to you, or you can trailer to him.   He will travel within a 20 mile distance from his location, extra milage is additional cost.
